Thank you, Shrewsbury Rotarians!

My deepest appreciation to my friend Attorney Debi Hemdal and the Shrewsbury Rotary Club, for the opportunity to speak to you today.

As we discussed, kids with autism grow up and become adults with autism. The growing prevalence of individuals with autism becoming adults in the next 10 years requires our society to galvanize efforts to be better prepared to welcome them as community members and members of the workforce.

There are so many positive outcomes for both the individuals and employers, when businesses commit to hiring people with autism. I hope today’s discussion helped everyone understand the ways that employers can be part of the awareness, acceptance and success of people like my son and thousands like him.

You can find the slides for today’s presentation at www.slideshare.net/cherylryanchan.

Take care, and thank you again!
Cheryl
