I spent a couple hours at Nicky’s house today while he was gone. Added a few new YouTube shortcuts to his desktop, rearranged some of his toys, put up some new pictures. I hope he likes everything. My visits with him continue to be rough and so I’m working on ideas on how to change things up so they are more positive. He’s often gone through periods of time where he prefers me or Alex over the other, and right now it’s all Dad, all the time – but he is even having trouble tolerating Dad for very long. Ah, Nicky, we will be around for a long time to come, whether you think you want us around or not. This too, shall pass, but I am really missing quiet cuddles and long bouts of laughter with you.
